Now that restrictions are easing a little, here are some ideas for some fun outdoor adventures with your family.

  1. Dry ski slope adventures
Yesterday we had great fun trying out Tubing for over 6s and sledging for under 6s. We went to the Brentwood Ski and Snowboard centre http://www.brentwoodskicentre.co.uk/ which was very well organised and relaxed and we even had a little flurry of snow! Below is a link to help find your nearest centre.

2. Outdoor Pursuits
We are lucky to have an adventure centre on our doorstep so we can try thrilling activities such as canoeing, air-rifle shooting, archery, abseiling and banana boating. The link below will help you find your nearest centre.

3. Horse riding
There’s no better taste of freedom than setting off on horseback. The British Horse Society link will help you find your nearest centre. There is a riding school near us which offers pony and even unicorn riding sessions and parties. The Peaceful Pony offers a unique method of mindfulness with ponies which will benefit a whole host of children and adults after the stress and strain of lockdown.

4. Visit Safari Parks, Farms and Zoos
Our local farms, safari parks and zoos offer lots of fun events and activities besides the chance to get up close to wonderful animals again. The links below will help you find your nearest one.

5. Get on your bike!
Lockdowns have inspired a surge in cycling and now it will be possible to cycle further afield. The good news is that Cycle Confident is now available to provide free instruction across London Boroughs for children who need help to cycle independently.
