Here are some ideas to keep you busy at Easter-time and throughout the Easter holidays.

1. Hunt for chocolate eggs in the Garden as many times as you like!
We always have fun hiding and finding the Easter eggs several times over Easter before we devour them. You can include clues, forfeits, treasure maps, hopscotch, and obstacles to add to the intrigue. Towards the end of holidays, some public places will hopefully be open for Easter Activities. We also enjoy egg and spoon races in the garden. Last year we did a Maths-inspired Easter egg Hunt with Daniel Lin at Help Your Kids Maths and he is hosting a Hunt online this year too.

2. Munch on an Easter Brunch
The children will love making and eating delicious treats for breakfast or brunch. You have the perfect excuse to eat chocolate. Here are some recipe ideas.

3. Enjoy Easter baking and decorating
We have great fun baking and decorating Easter cakes and cookies. To add to the feasting fun we have some edible ink pens which we use to label our food. This idea was inspired by Stick It Brit and the ABC Picnic Surprise by Jenny Neal and the link is below.

4. Easter crafts and Bonnet decoration
My sons love decorating and wearing their Easter bonnets. Here are some links to crafty resources.

You can also download Easter printables at the Mrs Mactivity site if you are a member.

Here are the instructions for an egg-cellent science experiment.

6. Make your own Playdough Surprise Eggs
Your children may have watched children making and opening Playdough Surprise Eggs on YouTube. Now they can make their own.

7. Make and decorate Papier-mâché eggs
Another egg-citing project to keep you busy over the holidays.

8. Burn off the chocolate with some eggs-ercise
Miss Emma offers some Easter Ballet workshops on Outschool along with a whole host of dance classes for all ages. You can also enjoy Easter fun with Cosmic Yoga and activities outside.

9. Enjoy an Easter movie
While you feast on your treats you can all snuggle up for some Easter-themed movies.

10. Devour some Easter books
Here are some ideas for Easter reading and The Chicken and Frog bookshop is hosting some online events during the Easter holidays.

11. Sleep under the stars
As the weather improves you could camp outside again. The Online Big Little Tent Festival invites you to join them for their virtual camping event over the Easter weekend. You can download their activity pack and join them for events online.

12. Visit baby animals at your local farms when they reopen
In the second week of the holidays, some farms are due to open and many are hosting belated Easter events to keep you busy, like the ones listed below.
